i’m doing it for my grade 5 exam o.O
howiej I have done this song for my voice class and it’s REALLY easy to mess that part up – mostly because I get soooo into just producing the long, drawn notes that I find it hard to remember what I’m saying… haha
Just magic its if the song was written for her to to sing what a truly outstanding voice.
At 1:43 she almost says leaves instead of grass…
beautiful and beyond………
It’s only as boring as you want it to be, enbrace the beauty of the tune and its origin.
Now THAT’S soul….the kind of soul that only a woman of a certain age can produce. Maura, you give me chills. This is pure bliss.
wow amazing
i love it
im doing this song in choir its a cute song but its kind of boaring to sing
A wonderful song! A wonderful voice!

so wonderful
Awesome. Thanks so much for doing this.
Beautiful! thanks for the link.
There’s a secret in Ireland that the rest of us would do well to discover. When I first heard this song (on youtube) I couldn’t get it out of my mind for days.
Maura O’Connell is breathtakingly amazing and Karen Matheson is wonderful as well. Thank you so much for uploading this!
I wonder if this song has any relation to the American folk song By the Banks of the Ohio? There is a hint that he may have tried to force her, and she may have drowned. If so, then the folks from Ireland coming over in the 1840s may have brought a version with them.
LOL..and yes I know also!!
Soooooo Beautiful!!! You are very talented. Thank you for posting!!
And be careful what you ask for my friend…if I said Yes…you would freak!!
