I live in Illinois and I just purchased some Dahlia bulbs. Are these plants going to be hard to care for?

I would love any advice on how to care for these plants. When should I plant them? Will they thrive in chicago?

alright, here are the facts, beautiful flowers ,no maintenance,you can plant now, and water well,
just have to pull up before frost and save for next year,

They are the most beautiful flowers, just follow the instructions exactly, you will love them. Look on the computer for more advice.(nursery advice)

I live about two hours south of you and dahlias do great here. Just give them a big drink after you plant them and you do have to dig them up in the fall.
